Earlier this month me and my boyfriend took a quick trip to Amsterdam for the weekend and I wanted to share a few snaps on here, as it was so beautiful! It was our first holiday together and even though it was only four days, we saw a lot of the city and ate a lot of chocolate waffles too (no space cakes though, promise).
Our hotel was music inspired and so artsy, everything was unusual and different but so lovely. The main colour scheme was orange which sounds awful but it was actually really lovely. Amsterdam as a whole is so creative, you pick up a spoon and its fascinating but it so inspiring. I also noticed that EVERYONE wears trainers, probably because so many people cycle but I felt silly getting dressed up as it was so chilled.
We took the hop on hop off boat and got off at Vondel Park on the first day for a walk, which was one of my favourite places. It was full of little bridges, beautiful flowers and trees and it was so sunny that day. I think our favourite place was the flower market though, it was beautiful and surrounded by lots of cute shops and cafes. We managed to squeeze in two exhibitions too the Banksy one, which was incredible and Body Worlds which was just unbelievable. I would recommend both.

Looks like you had an awesome time in Amsterdam. I was in Amsterdam in August, but only for one night before heading off to the beach close to Amsterdam. Unfortunately, I was still on crutches, then and didn’t see much of the city, but I would love to return in the future. I love the look of your hotel and Vondelpark is so pretty.

I’ve never been to Amsterdam but it looks so beautiful, your hotel looks great too! Will definitely have to make an effort to go for a weekend next year!
